Well honestly it was the most idyllic term Rose would have liked to use for herself. But Barbie was allot better than allot things she'd been called so she wasn't that bothered by it and had embarrassed the name. Why disappoint people, who though they new what you were from just looking at you? well rose didn't like to disappoint people now did she? so she'd always do her best to live up to her reputation. Vain, well yes she couldn't deny it. She was obsessed with the way she looked and what she wore an everything. No one seemed to mind that though, and some of her family even encouraged her with it like Alice. But she guessed that was just 'cause she needed someone to experiment on that was willing. Rose was always willing to be experimented on with clothes and make-up, it just made her Alice's bond stronger.
"You know i'm only joking though, don't you?, you have some uses some... well some i like better than others you know how it is, you must think i have my faults as well" she tried her best at looking worried, her eyebrows came down a little, her lips morphed into a straight line but like she was actually worried that she had offended Emmett. It would take a hell of allot more than that to upset or him or raise or bad emotion from him. "Yep," her before expression came back to her face, all she wanted was for Emmett to be happy. She hadn't meant anything before, about him not being good for anything. It was totally not true at all. He was pretty much good at everything he did. She loved him for it, but she loved him for everything she couldn't help it. You can't help how you feel about people though could you? damn she wished she could sometimes. "That it though no more compliments till you deserve it" she said with a seriousness in her voice though she wasn't really serious at all. But she'd never been able too, like Royce for example. When she'd killed him. Breaking his neck, making sure he knew what he'd done was wrong, she still felt a sort of... love for him. It wasn't right what she felt about him but she still loved him. He was her first true love though, she guessed that would never go no matter how long she lived.
Puppy dog, yes, well maybe a full grown dog with rabies. Not that Emmett had rabies, that was were his wild side came in. He was a nutter at times, but he was really laid back at others. There really was no reason why she'd see him as anything like a bear. He wasn't too her, and she'd lived with him for so long it was useless trying to do anything else. She saw him as her husband, a in a way he was own personal guard dog. He would do anything for Rose, much like she'd do anything Emmett asked of her. "How about a full grown rottweiler with rabies? you know..." she was very much only joking now. She'd never normally compare him to anything like that but she seemed to get a good reaction form him.
"I guess it must just be the fact i'm used to you, unless your not as bad as everyone makes out?" she suggested the last part just for a joke. Emmett could be a monster at times. A real monster that even a full grown adult would be checking under there bed for, whilst doing being scared witless.
Her mind had basically gone blank, nothing, just Emmett flying through her thoughts. It was a bit disconcerting not being able to think properly, but it was like this every time Rosalie got close to Emmett in anyway. She basically lost thoughts for everything. Unless she was really thirsty, but that just complicated things between them. Rosalie tongue carried on trying find Emmett’s. Damn him, he wasn't playing fair. Her tongue danced across his bottom lip, trying to get her way with him. She guessed she only deserved it, she pulled away from him for a second. Before looking up at him. Her tried to look like she was pleading with him, though she wasn't sure how she looked at all. Her bottom lip was sticking out a little.

Okay, so maybe being called Barbie was a lot better than the things some people insisted on calling her. Emmett had never been too happy with those people – he didn’t take it too well when people upset her. Then again, she really didn’t need him to look after her in that respect. She wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself, and that left Emmett to occupy himself with other things. Like random wrestling matches with his brothers and hunting grizzlies. Easily amused? Maybe a little, but was that such a bad thing? At least he wasn’t serious and worrying about nothing all the time.
Emmett laughed at Rosalie. Yes, he knew she was only joking. He wasn’t useless. Far from it. But he really didn’t mind. She had her faults, too, and he’d be sure to pick on her later. It wasn’t like he was upset or anything. Sure, there were things that he couldn’t do. They just weren’t things that he thought were at all important. He laughed at her. Oh, no more compliments until he deserved them? Fine. He didn’t need her compliments anyway. He wasn’t going to be a good little boy scout just for a couple kind words. Oh no.
A grown dog with rabies? Now that was more like it. He would have agreed with the guard dog analogy – anybody who tried to hurt Rose was likely going to end up missing a few chunks. And that was the best case scenario for the would-be attacker. He grinned at the ‘rottweiler with rabies’ comment. “Alright, I can live with that one.” Anything was better than being compared to some cute, cuddly little puppy. Emmett was not cute, or overly cuddly. Not for anybody but Rose, anyway. He shrugged when she suggested he might not be as bad as people said he was.
“Now I know you’re joking for sure.” He could definitely be terrifying when he chose to be – the reality was just that he rarely chose to be. However, being intimidating did have its uses from time to time. Like keeping would-be lovestruck girls at bay. He’d never had girls crushing on him like Edward and Jasper seemed to, and that was probably a very good thing considering what Rosalie might do to them. Alice and Bella were a little more forgiving than Rosalie.
Not playing fair? Okay, maybe he wasn’t. He looked confused for a second when she pulled away. She seemed to be pleading with him, though, bottom lip stuck out in some sort of pout. He didn’t know why, but all of a sudden he was roaring with laughter. That was one of the more amusing expression he’d ever seen cross her face. “Don’t look so disappointed.”

Still a grown dog with rabies wasn't the best analogy she could have given him. But he was happy with that more so that what she would have hoped for but at least it meant he was happy. She couldn't ask for any more than that ever. "Your happy with that?" she asked questionably. "I'd would have thought you'd want something more... macho... like a lion... or well something more manly,, not a crazed beast that has totally lost it's mind?" she teased. She didn't care about what he wanted to be truthfully,, but if being compared to a dog made him happy. "in your opinion,, em,, what would you compare me too?" as pure curiosity took over her. She was genuinely interested in what he would compare her too.
"if you think I’m joking then,, hell,, i must be then" she snickered at him,, as he lips curled back up past her teeth a little. Which may have looked threatening to most other vampires or even humans. If they knew what they were looking for from a vampire,, who seemingly looked like they could attack or something. Rosalie was pleased that Emmett never had all the girls at Forks high,, or when they were at Forks. Swooning over him. She really hated it,, who the hell did these girls think they were. But none of them really let there feelings or anything shown. Which was good. As if any of them actually did try and hit on Emmett. They probably wouldn't ever be returning to Forks high out of sheer terror from Rose. She was very defensive over him,, even if she knew he wouldn't ever go for someone else.
Her eyes shot wide,, shooting daggers with her stare. Why was he laughing? was he laughing at her? had she done something completely wrong? she thought better of that though,, she wasn't going to start questioning herself again. she was used to his random burst of laughter,, they happened allot. And well it didn't take allot to make Emmett laugh,, easily amused was an understatement. Pretty much everything had some sort of deeper funny meaning to Emmett,, well that was a lie but he laughed allot of things that really weren't appropriate to laugh at ever. Which was something occasionally that annoyed Rosalie. Her expression changed,, as her face features returned to normal as fast as she could make them. She turned her face away from him. Before letting her arms retract from around his waist. She stalked away from him,, she didn't even bother to listen to see if he was going to follow her.
She ran a hand through her hair,, letting it all fall naturally across her shoulders. She wasn't so much cross now,, well she never had been cross with Emmett. It was more of a to prove a point thing. She'd never liked being laughed at and well she just had been. But it was typical Emmett she guessed,, so now being about fifteen foot away from Emmett she stopped. Though she didn't turn round. A small smile was playing across her lips.

Hey, Emmett really didn’t ask for a whole lot. Just that her metaphors for him not be cute and cuddly, you know? That took a toll on a guy’s ego. He nodded. “Eh, a rabid dog is manly enough. Edward’s got the lion thing down, anyway.” He didn’t even want to think about what animal Jasper might be compared to. Maybe a rattlesnake or something? Yeah, maybe that. He grinned at Rosalie. “If you listen to what people say, then half the time I’m like a crazed beast anyway.”
He stared for a second. What would he compare her to? He really didn’t know. Maybe … hmm … he didn’t think there was any animal quite as beautiful as she was. Maybe a tiger? Yeah, he’d go with that. “Probably a tiger.” He didn’t know why, and he couldn’t even make a joke out of it. Tigers were pretty, right? And fierce, which she definitely was. He thought he’d made a pretty good decision with that one. Oh, damn. She was making fun of him again. The expression on her face would have seemed threatening, to anybody else, but he really wasn’t worried much. Even if she did attempt to attack him, he could defend himself. It would just be a playful attack, anyway.
Emmett would have been amused by the idea of any girls in Forks being attracted to him. Especially the girls they’d gone to school with. They must have been pretty good at hiding their feelings, because Emmett had no clue. He would have probably collapsed in a fit of laughter if one of them had dared to hit on him. Rosalie would have taken care of that before he would have had time to blink. The fact remained that he wasn’t interested. He was completely and totally off the market. If any of the Forks students had known what he really was, they would have probably run away screaming in terror. Except Bella, of course. She, oddly enough, had always been okay with the whole ‘the Cullens are vampires’ thing.
Oh no. She was glaring at him. Why? Because he was laughing? Well … that was just something that Emmett did when something happened to be funny. And that expression on her face – was funny. It wasn’t like she’d done anything wrong or anything of the sort. He was just very easily amused sometimes. He could laugh at just about anything, even when it probably shouldn’t be laughed at. Awkward. He wasn’t expecting her to stalk away from him. He stood there for a second, staring after her. What? What had he done wrong? Did she want him to follow her, or was he in the doghouse? God, he hated situations like this.
She was fifteen feet away, now. She wasn’t getting any farther, though. Was that a good thing? He hoped so. She wasn’t facing him, though, so he was probably in deep trouble. Damn it. Why did women have to be so complicated? He closed the distance between them in a single bound, wrapping his arms around Rosalie’s waist. She wasn’t getting away this time – not unless she really wanted to. He just stood there behind her, hoping she’d forgive him for whatever it was he’d done wrong. [/blockquote]

Rose didn't see how her brother could be called a lion, in her opinion at least, he was far from a lion, she got why people said he was like it. But when you really, got to know him you'd know he was just kitten. Well not a kitten, a violent and ridiculously talented kitten. But he really wasn't frightening at all. Well not to Rosalie at least. "Easily pleased," which was true sort of. Well it wasn't and was at the same time, just called Emmett an animal was probably something he was proud of. Not that she cared what he thought about that. "But also if i listened to what people said, you wouldn't have been worth marrying... but i guess being a beast is a good thing occasionally" she smiled at Emmett.
Tiger? really well she was happy with that. She was actually quite pleased with being compared to tiger, it wasn't like they weren't very graceful creatures. They were beautiful to watch, she couldn't really complain about that at all. "I like that, a tiger, its quite... nice" yes nice, was the only word that sprung into her head. She didn't want to complain about the comparison to a tiger though, what ever Emmett thought about her she was happy with even if he had compared her with a pig. She would have been pleased with it.
Bella, garh, she really was one of the last people on earth she wanted to think about, though her mind always seemed to follow back towards her. It sucked, all she had done since she joined the family was 'cause trouble. And Rose really wasn't pleased with her at all. She didn't see why everyone was so nice to her. She'd nearly killed Edward for gods sake. No one seemed that bothered by that at all now, it was all sorted. No one cared. Edward nearly died thanks to Bella but still she was welcome in to the family. Rose had always wondered what it would have been liked if Edward had died, would Bella be still be in contact with the Cullen family. Would she wanted to know them all? all these question were unanswered thankfully. But still Bella would have no doubt left, and never came back. "Why do you all put up with Bella? why do you care about her so much?" she asked.
She stood still, though she couldn't hear Emmett walking forward. Maybe he had finally decided he had actually upset her and left her were she was to let her calm herself down. Though she wasn't cross with her. She couldn't be, it was against her nature to be cross with Emmett. Though she should have expected him to laugh at her, he did normally. His very friendly and very funny personality was all that mattered and well she should have expected it from him by now. But no she didn't.
Thank god! he hadn't left her. He hadn't just completely disappeared away from her, though deep down she knew he wouldn't ever do that too her. She didn't want him ever to leave her, it even upset her being apart from him when he was hunting though that was a necessity. She casually let one of her hands fall over his arms as they wrapped around her waist. She tilted her head back so she could look up at him, the same small smile still played about her lips. He must have known now he wasn't in the dog house he never could be. She raised one of her eye brows at him, as she bit her bottom lip. Dreading what he was going to say, if he did say anything about her just walked away from him.

Edward, a kitten? Sure, if you meant a grumpy and violent kitten. Though Emmett had to admit, Edward wasn’t nearly as grumpy since Bella had come into his life. Maybe that was why Emmett was willing to put up with her. That and the fact that he got along well with her, and she amused the hell out of him. He shrugged. So what if he was easily pleased? He didn’t comment on her remark about how being a beast is a good thing sometimes. Hmm … now just what did she mean by that?
Yes, Emmett had chosen a tiger. It was the first thing that had popped into his head, and so it had come out his mouth. He smiled at her when she seemed to like it. Good. He let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. But honestly, compare her to a pig? He wouldn’t have been able to even if he’d wanted to. Other than the fact that they both were (or at least Rose had been) mammals, that was pretty much it. Emmett couldn’t have known what was going through her mind right then. Why was Rose so upset with Bella all the time? He got it, but he didn’t quite get it. It wasn’t as if all the trouble that had come their way was Bella’s fault entirely. Or maybe it was, who knew? Either way, Bells was in it for the long run.
Emmett didn’t want to think about what Edward’s death would have been like. He wanted to believe that the Volturi wouldn’t have killed Edward, but he wasn’t quite that naïve. He was a little bit confused about why she was suddenly asking about Bella and why everybody put up with her. “Put up with her? She makes Edward happy, right? Isn’t that a good enough reason.” As for why they cared about her? He didn’t quite know what to say to that one. “I guess we kind of learned to love her, you know?” She had to realize by now that he was getting closer. He just hoped she wasn’t mad at him. That would be terrible.
He knew when he saw that little smile on her face that he wasn’t in as much trouble as he’d thought he was. He wondered if she was worried about what he might say. She should have known that he couldn’t possibly be mad at her. He wanted to say something, but nothing seemed to want to come out of his mouth. That was fine, though. He’d just settle for holding her a little tighter. [/blockquote]

It was sadly true, even Rose had seen the difference between Edward back when he had been turned as a vampire and Edward now. He was obviously so much more happy that he ever had been, she understood why, she couldn't deny that he was in love. She just wished he wasn't, why had he chosen Bella anyway? she was human. Surely when he met her he should have just left her well alone even if he didn't want too. She understood when he left Forks for the few days to be away from Bella. But he shouldn't have came back to her, he should have stayed away. Bella deserved a human normal life. To have children and then grow old, slowly. That’s what she should have got but she couldn't 'cause of Edward and his selfishness.
"Edward was happy before. He knew what he wanted and wasn't bothered about what he did getting it, now he is crazy over Bella and well i don't like it, Bella deserves more. She dosn't deserve to become a monster she could be so much more than that" she stated. As if that made it final. Though she knew Emmett would never change his mind about Bella and she wouldn't expect him too, he was far too strong minded to give in just 'cause she told him too. She smiled at him, she'd never give in ether. As long as there was fight happening about keeping Bella human she would always fight for her to stay human. She needed her to stay human, she wanted it too happen she didn't want to it to be any different.
She knew Emmett was somewhere near her, she just wasn't sure were yet. She could hear the odd crack of a leaf being broken under his feet but nothing that would major-lye give his position away to her. So everyone else had learned to love Bella. Something Rose classed herself as never being able to do, she couldn't love a human that was willing to give up so much for so little. Rose craved children, she always had always would there was no changing that. Then Bella she came stumbling –literally- into the vampire's life, wanting to become a monster to give up everything she could have had. It was sick in a way. "I can't do that though, and i don't understand how you all can... love her so easily. Its just too weird."
Looking up at him now, well he was like a god. He was perfect. Words couldn't describe how perfect he was. Her eyes were practically gleaming in awe. He was just so... he was just so Emmett. Every reason why she had every loved him, or brought him back to be bitten by Carlisle was there in him now, she was completed with him there with his arms wrapped around her. She felt like nothing would ever be able to hurt whilst she was with Emmett. "You know, you really are the only reason that being a vampire is worth it" she smiled. She stretched up with her face. She kissed the bottom of his jaw line. Before returning to were she was before so she could look up at him.

Emmett hadn’t ever really tried to hate Bella. Why would he? She was pretty much a part of the family, now, and she made his ‘brother’ happy. Where was the downside? Sure she was a little bit fragile, but that could be worked around. And it would only be for a while, anyway. Edward would have to come to his senses some time and realize that this would all be easier if she were a vampire too.
Why had Edward chosen Bella? Emmett didn’t think of Edward as having chosen Bella at all. You don’t really choose who you fall in love with, after all. If you did, why would Rosalie have fallen for a guy like Royce at all. Emmett was still wondering about that one. Then again, they’d all done silly things when they were human. Bella and Edward had never had a chance. It was pretty much meant to be. They were sort of like he and Rosalie, in a weird way.
Emmett shrugged. With the way Rosalie was talking right now, he was starting to wonder if she might have liked Bella more than she led everybody to believe. She was certainly spearheading the effort to keep Bella human, for some reason. Emmett didn’t really know what to say to her argument. “He was happy before? No he wasn’t. He just didn’t know it.” Emmett was assuming that falling for Bella had put everything in perspective and made him realize how cold and lonely life alone was. Emmett wouldn’t have been able to live with being alone for so long. “Do you really want to live with the consequences of that, though? Do you want to see Edward fall apart when she gets old and dies?” If she even lived to be an old woman. If she stayed human, there was no doubt that she would eventually die. What would happen to Edward then? He’d already said that he couldn’t live in a world without her. “Do you want him to run off and try to get himself killed again?” This was a pretty touchy subject, but he had to say it. He’d made up his mind and it wasn’t changing.
He got why she was fighting them on this, but did she really have to be so stubborn? Emmett didn’t see what was so wrong about being a vampire. It wasn’t so bad. They didn’t even need to kill humans. And she’d always have Edward. Wasn’t that what this was all about? Bella and Edward. Edward and Bella. You couldn’t have one without the other. Everybody else had learned to love and accept her, so why couldn’t Rosalie? Emmett just couldn’t quite get his head around it. He knew why Rose was so opposed to Bella becoming a vampire, though. Rosalie couldn’t have the children that she so desperately wanted, and … Bella was just going to give it up. Emmett really didn’t see the big deal. The fact that he couldn’t give Rosalie the one thing she wanted most hurt a lot, sometimes.
“Why can’t you? You never even tried to like her.” He had a feeling he was just setting himself up for a huge argument, but he couldn’t seem to stop. Rosalie was finally looking at him when he stopped talking. What was that look in her eyes? He didn’t know, but he liked it. Her face was perfect from any angle, but at this angle … it was enough to make him forget to breathe. He had to take a breath before he could talk again.
“You’re the only thing that keeps me going.” Sure, the wrestling matches and hunting and baseball was all fun, but he wouldn’t be anything without her. Life would be a never-ending chore or something.

She hated Bella, though she was willing to fight for something she thought would be good for Bella? well she knew she didn't want Bella as part of the family. Why would she? she'd trade place's with Bella almost as quickly as Bella was ready to give up her human life. Well she wouldn't just give it up she couldn't just leave Emmett the way he was, she couldn't just leave him. She wasn't capable of that. Even if she hated what she was, she couldn't do that. She couldn't give him up, not just like that. But still, what she would have gave to be human.
She didn't mean as in actually chosen Bella, she knew you couldn't help who you fell in love with. But he could have kept his distance from her, instead of allowing her into the family and putting everyone under so much pressure. It wasn't fair on them, especially not with someone who smelled so much, and they smelled like ecstasy. It really wasn't fair, to have temptation so close yet so far away.
Edward hadn't been happy before, he had been basically a manic depressant. But he didn't know what was missing from his life to change that, so he carried on like things were normal. Which wasn't good. Though Rose still wouldn't accepted any of this information as reason to like Bella. "We can restrain him stop him, it would be better if Bella lived a normal human life, i mean no one should pick this intentionally, we're not normal" She hated to admit it but she'd never been happy with what she was, she was never happy with what she'd done as a vampire. She couldn’t change what she was so she didn't see any point in trying to turn back to normal. But it hurt, to know what she could have had and what she did have.
She'd tried, granted not very hard. But she'd tried to like Bella. She'd tried a hell of allot harder than she could have. She thought about it pretty much ever day. But everyone saw Rose as the bad guy, everyone thought she hadn't tried and she just hated Bella for the sake of hating her. "You honestly think i haven’t tried? you think i just hate Bella for being stupid? you think i just need to hate someone and that person is Bella? really is that what you think?" A low hiss ripped its way up her throat. She didn't want to argue with Emmett. But sometimes she couldn't help it, and not when it was about something as major as Bella. She couldn't just let the conversation die there.
She turned around in his arms not pulling away from him at all, she didn't want to let him be away from her. She didn't want to be away from Emmett. "I know" she mumbled. She did sort of know, but she was being Rose and well she wasn't afraid to say something like that too him. She looked up at him, as her arms snaked around his waist again.

Emmett didn’t even want to waste his time thinking about why Rosalie hated Bella so much. She had her reasons, sure, but didn’t she see that she wasn’t going to change things? Bella was going to be a part of the family, and maybe it was time that Rosalie accepted that. Maybe. Then again, it wasn’t like Emmett was going to say that out loud. He knew that she’d trade places with Bella in a heartbeat. How was he supposed to feel about that? Would she give him up to be human? He was a bit afraid of the answer to that question.
Emmett didn’t really think of Bella as being a temptation anymore. Everything was fine, as long as she didn’t randomly hurt herself and start to bleed all over the place. It was in situations like that that things got a little dangerous. It had happened once before, and Emmett knew that Jasper would have killed her if he hadn’t been stopped. It had been quite a sight, and not one that Emmett cared to see again. At least, not when it came to Bella. Edward would be crushed if she died. Rosalie, apparently, hadn’t learned to think of her as anything else than a stupid girl who was needlessly putting herself in danger.
Where was the danger? She had Edward to look out for her, if things got tough. And Carlisle, he’d look out for her. Emmett didn’t want Edward to lose what he’d found and go back to the way he had been. It had been fine, then, but now that he’d seen the difference it was like daylight next to darkness. He’d been pretty sceptical himself about Edward and Bella at first, but he’d pretty much accepted it by now.
“Well what are we, then?” What was it exactly that Rosalie thought they were? Freaks? Monsters? Wasn’t that what the humans were supposed to think? Emmett just saw himself as … Emmett. And Rosalie was his angel, normal or not. It wasn’t like they could change things, even if they didn’t like the way they were. There was no use trying, really. It was pointless. Emmett was a little bit surprised when Rosalie got angry at him.
“No.” That really hadn’t been what he was getting at. He didn’t know what he had been trying to say, but that wasn’t it. At least, he didn’t think so. He hadn’t really meant to make her angry, even though he’d known in some part of his mind that that was where it would go. She turned away, staying in his arms. Well, at least she wasn’t walking away from him this time. Why did things have to be so hard, lately? The whole Bella issue was really causing tension, and he didn’t want to argue over that.
“Let’s just … not talk about Bella, alright?” [/blockquote]
