The day was drawing to a close, which mean that Jacobs rounds were almost done. With that idea in mind he told the boys that he was done and shifted back into human form. Quickly in a remotely dead place he pulled the worn and pretty close to completely torn shorts out and put them on his body before heading back into town.
Life was not the same, and he was pretty sure it never would be. Here he was all alone again whilst Bella, the love of his life, was back with her bloodsucker. They were probably plotting some way to turn her right in front of Jacob just to rub it in even more that Edward seemed to have one. That was one thing he hated with a passion, Edward Cullen. He basically tore Bella's heart out when he left, and Jake just started putting it back together when Edward came back again and yanked on the good old heart strings and stole her away again. How many times did he have to rub it in? He probably wouldn't stop until he's done it a few hundred more times, Jake was sure of that.
The pack was having a bonfire tonight, and he had hoped Bella would come, but knowing her bloodsucker boyfriend- that would be forbidden. Though apparently Bella still wanted to see him, he wasn't really all that keen on admitting he wanted to see her too, he felt so betrayed that it wasn't even funny. She stole his heart and never really gave it back, more like just stomped on it and drove it into the dirt. But still comes back to check on it every now and then to see if it's still beating or not, if it is she stomps on it again. His heart had gone through hell because Edward Cullen had come back to Forks, he never thought a heart could feel this much pain, but it had only gotten worse every time Bella refused him and clung to her bloodsucker.
The treaty is quite specific. If any of them bite a human, the truce is over. Bite, not kill. I was just waiting for that to happen. Bella seemed so gung ho about becoming one of them, and she knew the consequences of those actions as well as the bloodsuckers did. And he wasn't afraid to follow the treaty to the last letter. Jake didn't want to, because that would mean she was one of them, that her heart stopped beating. But right now, all he wanted was one Cullen, the rest the pack could deal with; he wanted the one that ruined his life, the one who stole Bella, the one who was making him suffer by her. And his time was coming faster and faster Jake could feel it.
He ran a hand through his short black hair before sitting himself in the dirt, feet dangling over the cliffs edge. He had such a strong urge to throw himself over the cliff right now and just drown in the water below, but he was pretty sure no one would let that happen. Maybe it would cause her pain too, probably would- but only for a minute or so before the bloodsucker told her to stop thinking about that. Then Jake would be out of her mind forever…..

Elm bit her lip her eyes closed. It had been a long time since she had been anywhere with her friends. What was she talking about? The girl knew that she didn't really go out with friends anyways and even when she did she knew that they weren't really her friends. She didn't have friends, just people who took advantage of her. Those weren't friends at all. They were bullies, even if it was in a different way.
She shook her head. No, they weren't anything to do with her life anymore. She had to make due with what she had. What did she have? Well, she had a new school... that's near her old one. Well, either way both of the schools were much nicer as a whole then the one before.
Walking aimlessly she looked around. There wasn't much there. Then again, she was hiking up a cliff. It was then she started asking herself why. Well, truth was she wasn't sure, she told her parents that she would be back late, so she decided to go up the cliff and look around. It was better then the alternative, she was invited to some party, she wasn't sure what it was for, but it was somewhere in Port Angles. That would be as close to a mall as she would get in a while, but still parties were never her thing. Emma was quiet, too quiet; as other people would suggest, for a party.
The girl reached the top of the cliff with a smile then frowned looking at another boy. She didn't know that anyone else was up there. She didn't even know if he noticed yet. He looked deep in thought. Maybe he had a better reason then she did, he didn't seem like the kind of guy to get pushed around. In fact Elm was sure that he could beat someone up easily if they tried. Well, depending on the person. Now that she thought about it, most of the people from the reserve were quite stocky and tall.
Looking around she was wondering if she should say anything. It was a serene silence, but she wasn't sure it would stay so serene for too long if he thought that she was stalking him. The girl held her breath and stepped towards the boy, then smiled an awkward smile. "C-could I s-sit here?" The girl managed to stutter. Elm didn't talk to many people, but when she did she was always nervous, ergo she would start stuttering. ; Finished MUSIC; Butterfly - Plasticine WORDS; 541 CREDITS; SAFA ! of caution 2.0 for the template ![/ul]

He was so in thought that he honestly didn't notice the other girl there until she spoke. He nearly jumped half a foot in the air when she did speak, and looked rather pissed off when his heart did restart. Most wolves saw people coming, or at least heard them from a few feet back, and probably if he cared much he would of heard her too, but all he was trying to do right now was decide where to go, what to do, how to save Bella, a person who refused to be rescued.
"Yeah go for it." He nodded once to the girl as she asked to sit down beside him. He had no idea who she was, nor did he really care right now. She seemed nice enough if he actually got the time to know her, maybe he would even like her. It was hard to say, maybe he would even fall for her and leave Bella and her dead boyfriend alone. But he knew that wouldn't happen. Even if by some miracle he did fall for the girl beside him, he would still have to stop the Cullen's from killing Bella, and she would still be in his every thought. He knew he hadn't imprinted on her, but god he wished he could of, then maybe it would save her from the Cullen's and her death wish.
He figured he was probably being a bit rude, just sitting there hating the world right now and ignoring the girl who had seated herself beside him. Jake had to admit she was pretty brave, coming to La Push by herself, and sitting beside a large guy like himself who probably looked terrifying. He seemed to have that affect on the mortals lately, all of them were afraid of the pack. But he could see why, they did look a bit different. That thought brought a small smirk to his face, before he lost it and looked the redhead beside him. "So, why are you out here? All alone." He said in his deep rough voice trying not to sound too intimidating though it sort of came out like he was demanding an answer rather than asking a question.

Biting her lip she awaited his answer. It seemed to take a bit. The boy must have had something on his mind. Then again, who goes to a cliff and sits in silence unless you don't have something on your mind? That was not a question Elm couldn't answer, nor could she ask anyone. They wouldn't know the answer either. If it was someone from this decade they would probably just shrug at her. Someone older may say something, though it would be doubtful that they knew.
Elm nodded muttering a small thanks. Slowly she made her way toward the boy and sat beside him. That was odd. She barely even spoke to people, let alone ask to sit beside them. Either way, she had already asked and had sat down already. The girl bit her lip, even if she sat as far away as possible without making it seem like she didn't want to be beside him, the girl was way too shy for her own good. Even her dad had told her that, although he used the word anti-social... she preferred shy or quiet. It didn't sound near as evil. Though, she was odd like that; she would associate anti... anything with evil; probably from reading too many comic books as a child.
Blinking, Emma smiled to herself looking out at nothing in particular. The site was beautiful, even if it was still early. She was sure a sunset would be shown within the hour, though she didn't have a watch and her sense of time was less then desirable. As long as she knew night from day she was fine, or so she thought anyways. Broken from her thoughts she listened to the other person, biting her lip. Was that some sort of hint that he was dangerous? Maybe it was just a true question though. Either way, she didn't have much of a good answer.
"Um, i-it just seemed like a g-good place to think” She stuttered with a small smile. People just got in the way of thinking, most people anyways, and judging by the fact he didn’t even realize she came up from behind him, he knew that just as well as she did. At least her answer didn’t make her sound as friendless as she already was. Besides, she wasn’t lying about that, it did seem like a good place to think.
There was a short silence. Elm was never very good at keeping up conversations. She mentally kicked herself for it. That wasn’t one of her strong points; then again, if she did ever find a strong point she overlooked it and went straight to what was bad about her. That was unfortunate, but not worth suicide, she knew that much. “Uh, and what about you?" The girl asked in a clearer voice then before.

He listened to the girl as she spoke. She seemed really uneasy, and well she should feel that way, after all it wasn't every day a normal human got to sit beside a monster like him. And honestly these days, that's exactly what he felt like. Nothing seemed to go right and he was dropped like he never meant anything to Bella at all. Hell she picked a DEAD MONSTER over him! Another blow to the ego. "Ya, it’s a good place to think I guess." The one place he didn't have a pack of wolves running around his brain, at least for the moment. Anywhere where that happened was a good place to think. But something about the cliffs had drawn him there. Perhaps it was the way Bella was so attached to them when she still used to come to La Push. The first time she was there with him she was the gang jump of this very cliff, and the proceeded to do it herself. Maybe that's why her memory was so strong here, this is where he realised how much he loved her.
She shook a bit, not in fear or because of the cold, he was never cold. He only assumed it was the realisation of why he did the things he did. So much had happened that he couldn't let go of, so much he couldn't undo, so much he would do over a million times and never get sick of.
He decided to change the topic. "So, what's your name? I haven't seen you round here before." He held out his enormous hand to her. "I'm Jacob." He tried to force a smile onto his face, though was sure it did not look like that, hell he had no idea what it would of even compared to, perhaps a wince? He had been really bad at verbal communication skills lately. The only way he talked to people was in his brain… and well Bella on a piece of paper…

The girl nodded as he agreed with her. At least the boy beside her seemed nice. It wasn't like she saw him around a lot though. Maybe he was in the La Push Gang she had heard about. Not much was to be heard, but there weren't many people that haven't at least heard of them. Sure, there was a few people, but those people were totally oblivious, either that or they called the gang something else. She, herself didn't know what to think of them. From what she heard they were all too nice to be in a gang. Not to mention that there wasn't much need of a gang if they were going to be in a small place where everyone knows each other, mostly anyways.
Elm listened to the silence that seemed to keep on creeping at them. It wasn't awkward, not really. It was a somewhat of a comfortable silence. The boy beside her seemed to need to think as much as she did. For different reasons obviously, but still at least there were guys who would think more than or just as much as they eat. The girl smirked to herself, most of the guys she knew weren't thinkers, they just did things. It wasn't look before you leap, it was hop, skip, then jump or something along those lines anyways. Either way there was no looking involved. Either way, she never became close enough with people to understand why. Em didn't really want to, nor did she feel the need. If she was probably going to move again anyways, why would she need a good friend to leave behind?
Blinking the girl rose her right eyebrow looking up at the much taller male beside her. Why was he so keen on changing the subject? She thought of many possibilities, but stopped thinking about them after her mind wandered to her wondering if he was some sort of superhero and this was where he got his powers. That was much too childish, and if she let her mind wander much more, it would only get worst. Remembering the question at hand she nodded her name? The realization dawned upon her that she hadn't gave him her name. "Oh, um I-I'm Emma" She stuttered with a small smile, reaching for his hand. She shook it lightly. "B-but most people c-call me Elm or Em" The girl added quietly. She noticed his face went to a wince, Elm frowned. Was it something about her that set him off? She wasn't exactly sure. ; Finished MUSIC; Six Feet Under The Stars - All Time Low WORDS; 417 CREDITS; SAFA ! of caution 2.0 for the template ![/ul]

He nodded as she mentioned her name, he would be sure to remember that. Elm though? He would know the name but he had a hard time with nicknames, especially if people asked him to call them by them without any real reason. “Alright Emma.” He nodded again once saying her name. “So, you are from Forks I take it? Why are you thinking all the way in La Push? Don’t you have someone else to talk to or somewhere to go out there? It’s a ways to go for your people.” Of course when he said your people, he meant humans as whole who lived in Forks, minus Bella, she rarely came out here any more and he wished to everything possible that she would one day, just once more. But that wish was likely never to come true. He was beneath her now it seemed, he wasn’t good enough to even be near her anymore, and well it was sort of his fault that it happened. He was the one who instilled the barrier between them whilst the bloodsuckers were around, he would have nothing to do with his enemy, even if Bella was involved. So he pretty much gave her an ultimatum, and from the sounds of it so did Cullen, and he lost. He would respect that, he had enough dignity not to show it in public. Though he couldn’t hide from the pack mind, but no one could, so it was different then. All he hoped was to keep his mind off of her as long as possible, and if this human caused a distraction then it was all for the better, though if she started prying into his life that could only create a horrible chain reaction.

Elm bit her lip from frowning as she heard him say her full name. Sure, she didn't mind her full name, some people even complimented her on her name. Though, she still wasn't too fond of it. She liked her name as Elm. Some people have asked why she insisted to be called that. Truth was, there was no incident with a tree; it's the first letter in each of her names Emma Leanne Marley. It was something her mom came up with, and though it was kind of dorky; it stuck to her.
The girl tried to smile once again as he asked where she lived. Most people thought she lived in Forks, but really she lived between Forks and La Push. "N-no not really" She said with a smile. "I live b-between Forks and La Push, but more within the La Push area, I'll be going to the high school here t-too" The girl managed to stutter, becoming quieter as she said the last part of the sentence. "Um, I only live about a five minute walk from the reservation" She explained with a nod. She would go to Forks, but it was a much longer walk and she would need a vehicle. Unfortunately, she doesn't have her license, and her parents refuse to teach her.
In other words, she goes to La Push for all of her recreational activities and such. The whole problem was, was that for the most part there wasn’t anything recreational about it. There was cliff diving, but there was no way that she was going to jump off of a cliff for any reason what so ever. Even if there was a bear or one of those giant wolves she’s heard so much about, she would rather take her chances with the animal.
As for the reason she was alone? She didn’t talk about that. Truth was there weren’t many people who would want to hang out with her. Then again, there weren’t many people she knew, nor did she make the effort to find someone to come with her. There was so much more to do with very few people then a whole group. Sure, it might have been nice, but Emma was a bookworm, one who loved books and photography and wasn’t anything near artistic. There weren’t many people who hung out with others like that, none that she found anyways. He listened as she explained where she was from, and the fact that she was between both Forks and La Push, though La Push was somewhat closer. He barely took in the fact that she had said she would be attending La Push Highschool, highschool seemed so insignificant to him these days, most of the time he didn’t bother going, and if he did he fell asleep, much like Seth. Though Sam had always suggest that they all try to complete their highschool education. Jake thought that since he was immortal, and if he ever felt he needed it, he would actually go back and pay attention then, right now he had far more important and dreary things on his mind than subjects and homework. “Oh cool...” he said faintly, “Ya I never really go much anymore... I’m in grade eleven though..” Like that was really saying something, he looked like a twenty six year old adult, yet hadn’t even graduated? Oh well, he shrugged the thought off. He just was going to be a mechanic in his human form anyway, he didn’t really need much for that to be a local mechanic. Besides he didn’t have time for a high paying, demanding job, he was a werewolf 90% of the time anyway. So they both seemed alone, he didn’t dwell on the fact that she didn’t answer his question, he wasn’t fond of his own answer had she asked the same question to him. He was part of a werewolf pack, you could hear the thoughts of everyone in the pack, and it got a bit draining, not only that but certain people you never wanted to get attached to, you couldn’t escape. That was why he was here, for everyones well being, he didn’t have to impose his Bella thoughts on anyone in his head, nor did he have to listen to their responces about it, not right now anyway. Honestly Jake didn’t even know if he wanted to stay around much longer anyway, Canada seemed a nice vacation...

Emma listened to the waves making their way toward the bottom of the cliff and smiled remembering her and her old friends walking along a boardwalk in a thunder storm feeling the waves crash against her. To say the truth would be it wasn't her idea, in fact she didn't want to do it at all, but for some reason or another her friends did. She smiled thinking about how things were before, sure she wasn't very popular. Really, she was very unknown and sometimes ridiculed. Though, the friends she did have were very special to her.
Brought back out of her thoughts her eyebrows knit together. He didn't go to school often? It was something that she personally dreaded, but she still went. Then again, he looked much older then someone in the eleventh grade. Maybe he failed a couple grades? She was tempted to shake her head at that. He seemed like a smart enough guy to at least skid by.
She was tempted to hum, but decided against it. She wasn't the best at staying on tune, not to mention there was someone beside her. Someone who was really hot! Not saying he's handsome but even just barely beside him her other side is cold in comparison. It wasn't that he was bad looking either, he just looked older in comparison. Her face started to become pink as she thought about it. She just hoped that he wouldn't notice. He was just someone beside her, someone she just met and really it shouldn't matter but it had been a long time since she tried to be even just kind-of-friends with anybody. It wouldn't be fun to just not even try because of being embarrassed.
