[x][x] Bella; and I feel just like a little girl playing dressup
Cold. That was usually the feeling that entered when she was alone, so it was of no surprise that sitting alone in the living room held no appeal. Of course that could be due to the fact that she'd just spent the last half hour sitting there with Charlie and doing absolutely nothing. Today had been extremely difficult to go through, Saturdays these days usually were though. There was no excuse of school to see Edward. And with the hours that Charlie forced... things weren't how they should be, and that was as simple a truth as you could get. Charlie'd only left about five to ten minutes ago. Fishing. And then onto the reservation for the rest of the day. So she was alone... An exasperated sigh filtered past her lips as she rinsed the last dish off, her eyes roaming to the already full dishwasher as she thought of somewhere to place it. Charlie was... just... Charlie these days. And not in a good way. She supposed Renee would be worse, though she wouldn't necessarily notice that she'd left in the first place. It'd be much easier to have fooled Renee about where she'd been. But... She let another frustrated sigh escape as she fit the cup in-between two bowls, her hands instantly reaching for the dishtowel she'd known would be above on the counter. None of that mattered. She liked living in Forks. And she liked being with Edward. A smile flowed easily onto her lips at the thought. Even if their time these days was being monitored.
She toweled her hands slowly, her eyes slowly drifting to the window and staring outside. She'd finished all her weekend homework the night before in the space of time between when Edward left her and he inevitably came back. Which left her with nothing to do. The laundry had been done earlier that morning, without peril coming through either. She'd just finished the dishes... And she really didn't have any other chores to do today... Which, surprisingly enough, was rather aggravating. Shaking her head in a resigned kind of exasperation she made her way slowly out of the kitchen, throwing the dishtowel into the laundry room as she made her way up to her room. Her pace sped as she took the stairs two at a time, her mind already racing ahead to her room. She needed to get dressed, that would be a first. Maybe dance around her room, not that she was good at it. But she was starting to feel lighter, more like... Alice, she thought with a laugh as she flew into her room, already discarding her sweatpants and tank top. Her radio was already on, though on a rock station. And to be frank she was in a hip hop mood, which in itself was unusual. With a grin she turned the station the starting beat of "Swing" blasting out as she turned up the volume. She knew she had a pair of 'trendy' jeans from Alice around here somewhere... and the hunt began as she danced around her room, her lips moving with the lines of the song.
Without really thinking about it she pulled the jeans -having found them- up, buttoning the top and examining the carefully placed rips that ran along her legs. She'd never really understand why anyone would purposefully design rips and tears in their jeans, though she did have to admit the overall aesthetic effect was pleasing. She was bouncy... Haha. She couldn't place where the mood had suddenly arrived from, but it was... nice? She shook her head and snatched the fitted black hoodie from her bed. It wasn't as if she were actually dressing up. She shuddered at the thought. She was just... in the mood for something to do. And wearing those jeans, even if she'd never admit it to Alice, did help with her confidence. She smiled and shook her head tolerantly, as she pulled the hoodie over her head, straightening it over her body. She looked rather like she was getting ready to go to school, not fit for a day puttering around for the house and hoping Edward wasn't busy. Or dwelling over Jacob. But it was whatever. She was still kind of bouncy, though the overall effect had disappeared with the song, off into some underground band that she didn't recognize. She half-bounced over to her dresser, rummaging for the little makeup she had and pulling out eyeliner. A little bit on her eyes and she was done... And still lost as to what to do.
The short burst of whatever it was that she had experienced was quickly dissipating, leaving her with a kind of pent up energy that had no way of escaping. Without really thinking about it she wrinkled her nose in distaste, looking around her room for inspiration. It was a Saturday... And she was at home... with nothing to do, and very frankly no one to talk to. No one at school had really forgiven her for how she'd been after Edward had disappeared. And it wasn't like she could call Jacob. She was still furious with him. She felt her lips fall into a frown at the thought, her shoulders slumping in among themselves. Yeah, Jacob was definitely not among the very short list of who she could call. And Alice was out shopping last she had heard. She felt her mood slowly climb lower. And it's not like she could just call Edward up... If he came then he came. She didn't want to be too over obsessive, it wasn't like she hadn't been considering that option before. After all… he'd already left once; she didn't want to force a second time. Her chest seemed to grab inward upon itself as she grappled with the possibility, her frame sinking back against the dresser behind her. Without pausing she slammed her lids shut, her fists clenching, nails digging into the soft flesh of her palms.
One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. She breathed in and out with each number, her heart pounding within the confines of her ribs. This was not the time to think about that. No, she still had that energy. She just needed to find something to spend it on. Yes, positive thinking. Positive. Another large sigh racked her frame as she straightened her position, slowly letting her fingers out into a semi curled fist, eyes combing the room for something to do. Anything at this point to get her mind off of those sorts of thoughts. They weren't safe. And for all she knew Edward could be hunting right now. It's not like she hadn't just recently seen him. Jeez. Another deep, fortifying breath and she was walking across her room. She'd find something to occupy her time with. Even if it was just reading the same old book. A half-hearted smile tilted upon her lips at the thought. Edward always questioned her love of it but... Wuthering Heights just captivated her. She'd always found it a shame that it was Emily Bronte’s only novel. But, it was as it was. C'est la vie, or some other such nonsense. Good. This track of thought seemed to be working. She nodded in self satisfaction and grabbed the book gently from her bedside table, tucking it under her arm as she searched through the mess that was her drawer. IPod... IPod... She grinned as her fingers closed upon the black object that no doubt held her world in its lyrical lines. Untangling the headphones slowly she put them in her ears, searching through the music and pressing play before she even started to make her way out of her room.
"Red finger nail polish pealing like a sunburn..." Again she took the stairs two at a time, her pace keeping with the music as she made her way through the entryway, kitchen, and finally to the backdoor. Relax. That sounded nice. Certainly not the first thing she wanted to do, but it would suffice more than well enough. Her free hand went to grab at the blanket she kept by the backdoor before she opened it and slipped through, the door shutting noiselessly to her ear budded ears. It wasn't particularly sunny, though it was rather warm for Forks, which made her smile. It was a bit cloudy for her liking, but then it usually was. And it was so green. She shook her head in wonder and shook the blanket out, throwing it untidily upon the grass before lowering herself onto it, her frame stretching out on her stomach, elbows holding up her torso as she opened the book in front of her. She hadn't really read it in the past few weeks, after the whole situation she really had issues with it. She flipped past the first few title pages and into the real writing, her eyes already devouring the words before her, a smile already transforming her lips. Heathcliff and Catherine were like therapy to her, something she'd probably have to eventually look into...but for now... she was content. Her right leg brought itself up from the ground, her foot dangling in the air as she rotated her ankle carelessly.

That Friday had been a particularly sunny day, which meant only one thing for Edward and his family, a hunting trip. They headed out early Thursday morning with the advice of Alice's visions. They arrived at the hunting grounds at the perfect time. Sun was rising as they approached the dense forest filled with thick, dense vegetation. Edwards senses immediately went into hunting mode and nothing else could stray him from his path of mind. Breathing in a deep breath, his senses went crazy and his superb sense of smell kicked in. The scent of a small deer was nearby and he was ready to pounce. Perching in a tree he waited for the perfect moment to leap and cling onto it's neck. After it moved only a little bit, he pounced and caught it instantly, his speed overpowering the small mammal's speed. The day continued on like this until Edward was satisfied for the day. He would be back tomorrow, but his thoughts strayed to Bella for a split second. He sighed a bit and then finished out the day of hunting with one more small snack before he left. Finishing the mere snack to keep him satisified throughout the day tomorrow, he let the rest of his family know and then headed out.
It had been a busy day of hunting and it was now early morning on Saturday. He returned to his house and then changed. He put on a nice striped shirt. Blue and white to be exact along with a pair of jeans. He ruffled his hair a bit and made sure nothing from the forest and his hunting experience was left behind. Along with the shirt, he put a light jacket over himself. He was never one for anything more that a shirt, but it was more humanly if he did so. Honestly, he wasn't sure where to go today besides Bella's. Although, she wasn't sure if he could visit her house because Charlie had placed strict limitations on their visiting hours. After Edward leaving Bella, he didn't want her to hurt her again. Nothing was going to be left out of his sight, but today might be one of those days.
Even with not being as close to Charlie as he would have wanted. Edward knew that Charlie had been planning to go out fishing and then afterwards, hanging out at the reservation the rest of the day. A smirk appeared on Edwards features. The day just couldn't get any better. He had been hanging out with Bella more recently...well more like everyday that he could, but he missed all of those months without her. He was trying to make up for it and just couldn't seem to find any other way besides hanging out with her this much. As long as he left or had her back before Charlie was back, things should be quite alright. Edward had a decision to make, drive with his shiny silver volvo to her house and risk being seen without charlie there, or run. Not taking too much time to decide, he instantly jumped out the door to the outside of his room and took off running towards her house. He took the cover of the woods to get there, but he got there in no time. He always seemed to be the quickest one, or at least close to the quickest one.
As quickly as he returned to his house, he arrived at Bella's He used the all too common mode of entrance, the window. He had been watching her movements from outside on one of the tree limbs. She seemed in a much happier mood than normal, but he didn't know what the freak out was about. He could instantly tell the change in her attitude when she closed her eyes and breathed in and out heavily. The beat of her heart pounded in his ears and he instantly wanted to go in and comfort her, but he sighed, closed his eyes and the opened them once he had control of himself. In the next few minutes, she left the room and he quietly followed in after her. He wasn't sure where she was going, but she had Wuthering Heights in her hand. A smirk appeared on his face and he shook his head in amazement that she would honestly read that book...again. He would never understand why she loved it just that much.
He soon saw that she was outside and enjoying the warmer day in Forks, Washington. A smile was present and soon he was back outside. He stalked her in the trees like his prey, but he was only playing around. He swiftly came up behind her just as she was getting settled and positioned himself right next to her. If she actually noticed him right away, he'd be truly surprised. A playful smirk appeared on his features anyway. Whenever she'd notice he'd be there and he'd probably scare the crap out of her. He had fun sneaking up on her though. Reading that book again?! He spoke loud enough for her to hear through her headphones. His speech was fluent and smooth and his tone was the rich tone that it always seemed to be in. A smooth smirk continued to play with his features. He doubted that she would much like his silent appearance, but it was fun for him at least.
