Leah decided to walk to First Beach so she could smoke a cigarette and so she wouldn't have to bother with changing clothes. The sun was getting low quickly, and her and Jake were supposed to meet at sunset. Earlier that day Sam asked her to meet up with Jake and plan the pack meeting with the Cullens. Something she really wasn't looking forward to, not only because she hates all vampires, but the way Jacob gets when someone brings up Bella made her sick. Just thinking about the bloodsuckers was causing a grimace to form on Leah's fine features.
It was probably freezing, if not below, but Leah wore nothing but a lavender sun dress and a pair of flats, and she knew Jake would be wearing nothing but a pair of jeans. She finished her cigarette just as she walked over the wooden boardwalk to the beach. She could see, smell, and hear Jacob. He was watching the water with his arms folded across his chest. She couldn't help but smile, but quickly caught herself, that was the last thing Jake needed; an ego boost. He didn't turn around to watch her approach, he knew it was her, and she came up behind him and whispered in his ear, "Hey, kid."

Jake hated this idea, but Sam was the leader of the pack, for now at least. And therefore if he asked you to jump, you had better fricken jump. Sam asked Leah and him for some reason, to get together and come up with a plan. Jake already had a plan, it was called keep Bella alive!
But that didn't seem to fit with what Sam's plan was- "keep the people of Forks safe from the bloodsuckers, ALL OF THEM!" With that thought in mind he headed over to the beach to meet up with the female wolf. By the time he got there the sun was beginning to set, and Leah Clearwater was no where to be seen. He let out a rather annoyed sigh- why was Sam trying to torture him? It was bad enough that Bella had to sneak away from the bloodsuckers to be with him, and that she 'loved' said stupid bloodsucker. All he wanted to do was die, and he couldn't even do that! Stupid immortality!
So there he was, one pathetic excuse for a boy, wolf, man or all the above, what ever you wished to see him as. Point being, Bella had crushed him pretty hard, and all he did now was whine about everything when he could get a chance, but Leah, well she seemed to understand in some weird way, he didn't whine around her. May this is sort of how she felt when Sam imprinted? Betrayed? Heart broken- stomped on? He shook those thought from his mind, Leah was much too tough and balzy for that.
It was then that he heard footsteps nearing towards him; he figured it was Leah, without even looking at her, her scent was familiar, even though he wasn't in wolf form he got to know the scent of everyone in the pack. So pretty much he was sure it was her, and if it wasn't well, maybe they could do him the favour of killing him instead of making him sit here actually having to think about the stuff that hurt the most. That’s another reason why Jake liked to keep busy, no time to think.
It was just as he was about to speak that he felt breath on his skin and heard Leah's voice whisper in his ear. This didn't seem normal for her, usually she wanted the world to know she was there, but he would take it. He just wanted to get this over and done with. "Hey." He muttered in her general direction expecting her to sit down beside him, though he didn't really make the invitation known. "Nice dress." He said trying to be nice for once, he much preferred when she had the clothes on, not to say she wasn't something to look at without them on, but he felt more comfortable, even though he was in fact just wearing a pair of torn jean short and flip flops. That was the downside to transforming, you can't keep a single bit of clothing… It was okay for a while, until he started running out of clothes, and shoes, and then when Leah became a wolf. It seemed like immediately all the guys where running to try and hide things from her so she wouldn't see, not wanting to offend Sam or her, being that they once had a thing. But then she just started flaunting thoughts in front of them and body parts, and they all just seemed to stop caring. Jake still didn't really feel too comfortable with the idea yet, but he was glad they could talk in human form with a bit of cloth between them to say the least.

Leah couldn't help but smile as she walked around Jacob to sit on the fallen tree next to him. He looked so pathetic sitting there pouting about his poor Bella. Leah found Bella to be the saddest thing she's ever seen. She tried to remember a a time when she was around Bella and she wasn't complaining. That never happened. She was always bitching and running her mouth about something. And no to mention the way she is with that leech. Drooling all over him. Sad. Leah hated weak women and for some reason there were a lot of those in Forks. That's why she chose to stay in La Push ninety percent of the time. Quiliute women have always been strong, and they always will be. Leah was no exception.
Leah laughed when Jake complimented her dress. She watched him look her over and she took a moment to look him up and down. In the past two years he had grown to enormous proportions, even surpassing Sam, which wasn't surprising since Jacob was born to be the pack leader. As predicted, he was bare-chested, wearing tattered jeans and flip-flops. His skin was dark, even darker than hers, and as he moved she could see his muscles ripple beneath his skin. Not bad for a fifteen year old. She thought to herself, even though that was quite an understatement, and she knew it. She took maybe a second longer to size him up and smiled slowly and crossed her legs. "Thanks, but I think I look better without it on," she smiled, teasingly.
She didn't really want to plan this meeting, and she knew there was a possibility that it just wasn't going to get done, especially if they got in an argument, which unfortunately happened often. If she didn't already know, she would have asked him what was wrong, but she didn't feel like listening to him whine about her again. She had to practically feel it when they were both in wolf form, and she was definitely annoyed of having to watch Jacob fantasize about scrawny Bella. "You don't look too bad yourself, Cassanova."[/color]

Jake tried to smile, it wasn't something he was very good at lately though, and it sort of turned into a half hearted half smile. This whole thing was still really taking a toll on him, after all, he honestly didn’t think, like Sam, that Bella would ever leave Jake for a Leech, again.
This had gone on too long, if Bella never jumped off that cliff, then the mind reading leech wouldn't have come back, and if the mind reading leech didn't come back, Bella never would of gone to Europe to save that idiot Cullen from what ever the hell it was that he was doing. Basically he round it about until it was all his fault again, if Jake hadn't promised Bella they would go cliff jumping, or if he hadn't gone after the Redheaded Leech that day, then Bella never would of jumped off the cliff. He just didn't get what was so special about him, after all he did to Bella, how could she go back? It tore Jake up, and the fact that he wasn't able to speak to her just made him madder.
Yeah, he got her grounded, on top of the grounding she already received for leaving. But on top of it all now, Bella wouldn't talk to him, again. She was resorting to the notes again, and he barely got one of those now.. But he wasn't really helping either, not answering when she called.
Things were still a bit rough between Bella and himself, but he liked to think that they were trying to work it out, but the bloodsuckers really weren't helping any, mainly for existing.
He realised he had been sitting there silent for too long, a reaction that was not supposed to follow a comment like Leah's. He would have just done a standard yes, but considering what he would be agreeing to he just gave a small "huh." After realising that she had said more past the clothes off comment he made another attempt at a smile, still not really succeeding. "Thanks, I guess."
Focus Jake he said to himself realising he was starting to dwell more on Bells again. "So, did Sam tell you anything about the meeting? All I know if basically that the Cullen's are getting more agreeable." He liked to think so anyway, after all Bella was still alive, so far. And Charlie said she was happy...
