·I'll keep tossing rocks at your window· ,, cause there's no turning back for us tonight
Elm closed her eyes taking in her surroundings. It was amazing. An amazing forest, an amazing view an amazing girl. No, she wasn't amazing. She was a coward, nothing but a coward hiding behind her camera. She wouldn't dream of contradicting her parents, she didn't have any friends, she wasn't brave. There wasn't anything special about her, she was pretty plain. Just the kind of girl who you would find in the halls alone and wouldn't talk to. That was OK, she didn't want anyone to talk to her anyways.
The girl pushed her hair behind her ear opening her eyes once again then looking at a couple of wild plants. She smiled pulling her camera from the strap that was around her shoulder. Kneeling she took a picture of a wild flower. With a bit of editing she could send it to her sister. She could see it perfectly in her mind. Sighing she smiled to herself photography was her only escape. Not that there was much to escape from. Well, there was a lot to escape from, she just didn't put herself in harms way. She was smart in that way.
Looking at the rest of the forest in front of her she could already tell that this was going to be one of her favorite spots. It was a beautiful place, and she couldn't wait to start exploring it. Wait, yes she could. Shivering involuntarily she thought about what could be in the forest. Hearing about the Quileute legends she knew that there was at least wolves. Judging by that, there was also probably something along the lines of bears and some sort of wild cat as well.
Shaking her head Elm groaned. She spooked herself, now that would be the only thing she would think about. Now, she would be looking over her shoulder every ten steps. Holding her breath she decided to walk farther into the forest. Though, she would still stay near the edge in hopes of when if she was attacked the girl could make an easy escape. Letting out her breath of air she saw many more plants. There wasn't too much else, the odd squirrel or chipmunk, but for the most part it seemed peaceful.
Looking behind her back, the girl saw nothing and walked deeper into the forest. It looked like there wouldn't be much trouble in the forest as of then. Besides, it was the middle of the day she was sure that for the most par the most dangerous animals would come out nearer to the evening or night time. Keeping her camera out she took a picture of a near by plant then smiled. It looked pretty good in her eyes.
Biting her bottom lip she heard footsteps come from behind her and her eyes widened. She bit her lip and walked casually ran behind a tree in a sad attempt to hide from whatever it was. She then mentally slapped herself. If it was an animal it would just smell her out, and if it was a human then they would have heard her. Either way she was holding her breath and clutching her camera for dear life trying not to move hoping that she wasn't noticed. ; Finished MUSIC; Poppin' (Champagne) - All Time Low WORDS; 541 CREDITS; SAFA ! of caution 2.0 for the template ![/ul]

I'm calling you at 3am and I I'm standing here right outside your door -------------------------------------------------- Elle really didn’t know why, but she’d decided she’d have a day to herself today. She’d told her bff in Forks that she wouldn’t be coming over, and now … here she was. Elle was out for a walk in the forest around La Push, having no worries about getting lost. Why would she worry about getting lost, anyway? She’d trekked through this place enough times to know what she was doing. Elle was taking this time to contemplate just who she was turning into and how much life had changed.
It wasn’t as if it was any huge change, really. She’d just, you know, started dressing better and fixing her hair. And then, all of a sudden, she was wearing makeup, gossiping and she didn’t do half as much of the tomboyish, sporty stuff that she used to do. Where was the old Elle? Good old Ells, who had had no trouble getting dirty and playing as rough as the boys? Jeez, half the boys she grew up with towered over her now. She really wouldn’t want to play tackle football or any contact sport with them – not that she’d ever been a fan of those. Nope, contact sports had been a no-go even for the old Elle.
What was this nonsense? The ‘old’ Elle? There was no such thing. She was still the same girl; it was just that nobody else seemed to think of it that was. In some ways, she knew she was completely different. In other ways, everything just felt the same. Elle was lost in her thoughts when she wandered across a red-haired girl taking a picture of a wildflower. She stopped in her tracks, not wanting to disturb her. Oh, well. The redhead looked familiar, though Elle couldn’t really think of why. Well … she had to be from La Push, right, or she wouldn’t be all the way out here. Then again, Bella was from Forks and she had spent a lot of time in La Push. No, Elle was sure she’d seen this girl at school or something.
Elle wondered if the girl knew how dangerous it could be in the forest. If you believed the legends, you know – that there were wolf-men and vampires running around left and right. Elle was still out to lunch on that one. She knew that she probably should believe, but she just wasn’t quite convinced that the legends could be true. Either way, there were probably real wolves running around, and they could be dangerous enough. The other girl didn’t seem to have spotted her yet, so she stayed silent and contemplated just what she should do. The girl snapped another picture, and she finally decided to come out of her hiding place.
Um … what was going on here? The girl seemed to have run behind a tree in some pathetic attempt to hide. What was she supposed to be hiding from? Elle raised a dark eyebrow and wondered if she should just continue on her merry way. She sighed.
“Um … you really don’t have to hide, you know.”
Elle stated, arms crossed in front of her. “I’m not some crazy serial killer or anything.” Her voice had a slightly amused tone, and she really hoped that Emma wouldn’t take her amusement the wrong way. -------------------------------------------------- word count: 553 status: finished credit: anjewl90 at caution2.0 for the template [/blockquote]

·I'll keep tossing rocks at your window· ,, cause there's no turning back for us tonight
Emma closed her eyes holding her breath waiting for what she thought could be her early demise. Early demise at six-teen she thought to herself sourly. This wasn't how she wanted to die. In a forest, on her own... She tried not to make a sound, it was seemingly easy for Elm; usually she didn't talk much anyways, but her heart was racing so fast she could hear it pounding in her ears. That wasn't her favorite part of the day so far. Being killed by a wonder bear. She could see the headlines right then.
The girl gave a sour expression to herself, hopefully it wouldn't be anything dangerous. She was a bit of a pessimist, always having to think of the worst before the good things that could happen. Then again, she was also cynical. There was no way that she would believe that there were a whole bunch of were wolves and vampires running around the woods, it just wasn't probable. Most likely, it was nothing.
She bit her lip and looked out from the tree seeing another girl. Elle went to her school, she was older but they were kind of friends. Some would call it casual friends, but no matter which one it didn't matter. Elm was just happy that it wasn't some sort of serial killer. She was tempted to snort at that. Nothing interesting ever happens in La Push, or anywhere in the area really...
Em laughed half-heartedly. She wasn't one to laugh at her own expense, but the way Elle put it, it was sort of funny. And, besides it would be rude not to laugh. "Oh, um sorry" She said with a small smile. "I didn't know... I thought" The girl started then shook her head. "Sorry" The girl muttered and gave a half-smile. I'm calling you at 3am and I I'm standing here right outside your door -------------------------------------------------- Elle really couldn’t figure out why Emma had felt the need to dart behind a tree upon hearing the footsteps of a person. Maybe Emma’s imagination had gotten the best of her and she’d imagined a bear or a rabid wolf or something? Could be. Elle really didn’t worry about her imagination getting the best of her anymore, because it didn’t. She’d long since stopped believing in legends about vampires and wolfmen and whatnot. It was people you had to be worried about, anyway. People would do you in before any big, bad mythical creature would.
Elle wasn’t as much of a pessimist as Emma, either, which was probably a good thing. She didn’t know how people could stand to go through their lives being so down about stuff. Then again, it took all sorts to make a world – right? The good, the bad, the happy, the sad, and the just plain nuts. She wasn’t going to judge, especially not when she was sort-of friends with the person. She and Emma weren’t closer than close, but they knew each other well enough to chat in the hallways at school and stuff like that. She smiled at Emma when her friend finally came out from behind the tree.
“No problem. It was kind of funny, seeing you scramble behind the tree like that.”
Elle was determined to make Emma take it lightly and laugh it off. Honestly, it wasn’t as if she’d done anything terribly stupid. “You thought what?” Elle was curious, now. She supposed she could understand Emma’s fear of wild animals, if that was indeed what it had been. “Made sense, I guess. Apparently there are these huge wolves running around.” No word of a lie, Elle had heard that. She just didn’t associate that with people who turned into wolves. I mean, really, who would? -------------------------------------------------- word count: 308 ooc: no problem. ^^ I hate it when that happens to me. Emma felt a small smile tug upon her lips. At least Elle was nice, if it was anyone else she would have been scarred for life. Okay, so that was a bit of an exaggeration, but... Okay, there were no buts, there was just a girl who hid behind a tree from a girl who was her sort-of-friend. Because of the lack-there-of of any friends at all, Em was pretty embarrassed. She didn't know what would have been worse, a friend or a stranger seeing her in her state of weakness. Okay, she would rather have had a friend see her like that depending, if she had a choice, it would be in front of a person that she would never see again.
Biting her lower lip, the girl felt the smile drop slightly. What did she think if was? "I-I thought it was..." She looked around for something to give her a signal of something. She looked at the fox and started to think bigger. "I thought it was a bear" Elm said slightly embarrassed. Well, to say the truth she was thinking the worst and not very clearly. She thought that it was a cold one or one of the shape-shifters from the stories. It wasn't that she believed in that non-sense. It was more about how people think the worse when anything could happen. If she was in a forest that was rumored to have pixies and fairies she would have hid thinking that they would put her in a bind of tree roots or something. It was irrational thinking on her part. That was definitely something she had a problem with.
Shivering she thought about the big wolves. It could have been them as well as a bear, or one or the other. Though, her question was whether or not either one would be in the part of the forest the two girls were in. Either way it would have been much more of an odd site to see Elm hiding behind a tree, then being chased by a bear or wolf. It would be funny to anyone other then herself. Thinking of herself in that state made her shiver again. Stupid involuntarily shivering the girl thought to herself trying to smile again at the other girl. She tried to smile a small smile and looked around awkwardly. "So, what were you doing in the forest?" Em asked politely trying to make conversation. ; Finished MUSIC; The Beach - All Time Low WORDS; 426 CREDITS; SAFA ! of caution 2.0 for the template ![/ul]
